"Where Dreams Come True"

This week our Pure Slogan of the Week is Disneyland's "Where Dreams Come True".

Walt Disney himself saw to the development and success of Disneyland; "I want to have a place that's as clean as anything could ever be, and all the people in it are first-class citizens, and treated like guests."

While the amusement park itself was primarily intended for children, Disney's vision was to create a safe environment where even parents could relive their carefree childhood memories.

Today, the park has evolved into one of the world's most popular amusement resorts, with eight different theme parks, each of them embodying unique values of the Disney universe - a true testament to Disney's slogan.

''Always stay true to where you're from''

Fresh off the back of yesterday’s National Drink Wine Day it makes perfect sense that a wine brand should feature as this week’s slogan.

Jacob’s Creek - ‘Always stay true to where you’re from’ stands out as interesting interpretation towards a case that once you become a wine drinker, you will always be a wine lover – never forgetting this truth.

Some say with wine it’s an open door policy… show up with wine and we’ll open the door…

''All because the lady loves Milk Tray''

This Sunday is Valentine’s Day. When thinking of Valentine’s we think of hearts, images of cupid and a bouquet of flowers, but you can never forget Chocolate which has always been associated and referenced around the theme of love and romance. This weekend if you can’t buy happiness you can buy chocolate, which is kind of the same thing…

After many years of Cadbury's running iconic ads  featuring various swarthy, adventurous, black polo neck wearing 'Milk Tray Men' - 2015 saw the commercial recruitment of the latest character to take on the lead role and star in the ads .... including some great celeb filled recruitment ads.

After a national search for the 21st Century Milk Tray man, the hotly contested competition was finally won recently by an emotional Patrick McBride - a firefighter from London.

Super Bowl 2016 TV ads: The best and the worst

If you were able to keep yourself awake to be amongst the 100+ million worldwide audience to endure the media spectacle that was Super Bowl 50 on Sunday night then you will have seen an array of TV ads on display. Some were good, some were not great, and as always it is completely up to the consumer to decide which were effective and which weren't. The advertisers are certainly hoping it's the former as an ad space during the game costed around a cool $5 million for just about a 30—second slot.

The Audi ad is our favourite, the connotation of flying to space, and the father/son connection is particularly potent and by drawing on the idea of being a commander of a powerful machine it is likely to have been highly impactful amongst male viewers, as It considers typical American ideals of glory and success. Similarly the use of the song 'Starman' by David Bowie as its backing audio is a smart call considering the significance of the singer's passing two weeks ago.

We'd be interested to know which was your favourite...

''Motion & Emotion''

The 6 Nations Championship begins tomorrow, and this year ITV for the first time in the tournament’s history will be sharing coverage of the games with the BBC.

Peugeot have signed a two-year sponsorship deal with ITV for the coverage, utilising their short but snappy slogan ‘Motion & Emotion’ which is perfectly suitable for the embodiment of the game of Rugby.
